Assessing and recording

Teachers will find the Learning Objectives useful as a point of reference in mapping progression. Lessons can be planned to provide a rich range of experience and interaction with the new language to promote progress but also to allow ample opportunities for assessment for learning and informal teacher assessment. Progress in all strands can be recorded using a portfolio approach and more formal accreditation is available through the National Recognition Scheme.
