are a statement of the professional attributes, knowledge,
understanding and skills required of teachers at each career stage:
QTS
, core teachers,
upper payscale teachers, excellent teachers and
AST
s. The document outlines the
33 standards for achieving QTS and aims to inform practitioners
about pathways to career progression.
