A rewarding challenge: how the multiplicity of languages could strengthen Europe (European Commission, 2008)

In 2007 the European Commission created a 'Group of Intellectuals for Intercultural Dialogue' who here define the contribution of multilingualism to intercultural dialogue in what has become known as the 'Maalouf Report'. 

The report is the precursor to the Platform for Civil Society established in 2009.
