The Department for Education is looking for teachers, tutors and
school leaders with experience of working on projects combining
business and languages to take part in a focus group on 22
March.
The focus is part of a review undertaken by
the Education and Employers Taskforce into the role that employers
play in supporting pupil learning and progression within education.
One element of the review focuses on young people studying Modern
Foreign Languages and Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths
subjects.
The focus group will discuss the impact of
educational experiences involving employers on young people
studying these subjects in KS4 and KS5. Experiences could involve
activities such as Business Language Champions as well as work
experience placements, enterprise education and business mentoring
or careers advice.
The focus group will take place on Tuesday 22
March from 4.15 to 6.15 in Holborn, Central London. Participants
will receive £45 plus travel expenses of up to £20.
If you are interested in taking part, email
