CILT’s 14th Primary Languages
Show
“Totally stimulating – an engaging and
thought-provoking experience”. Delegates left last year’s
Primary Languages Show feeling inspired, challenged and eager to
implement the many innovative ideas that were showcased at the
event. You can now register for CILT’s 14th annual show,
due to take place in March next year.
The CILT Primary Languages Show now attracts
over 1000 participants each year, and is without doubt the biggest
event of the year for everyone involved and interested in languages
in primary schools. Last year’s event was a resounding success,
with 99 per cent of delegates considering it a positive experience
that provided them with new and valuable information.
In light of the very recent recommendation for
languages to become a statutory part of the primary curriculum in
2011 (Independent Review of the Primary Curriculum, 2009), the next
Primary Languages Show will be of even greater significance- not
only for teachers just starting out with languages, but also those
wishing to build on existing foundations.
Teachers, leaders and trainers will have the
opportunity to share, explore and develop exciting ideas that can
be taken away and used in the primary classroom. Workshops
delivered by experts in the world of primary languages will cover
everything from strategic policy discussions to hands-on creativity
in the classroom. There will also be an opportunity to see the
latest resources available for young learners at an extensive
exhibition.
The show, which is growing year on year, will
be held at the ACC in Liverpool on 12&13th March. You can
register for the event online, and find more information at
www.cilt.org.uk/pls. Don’t
forget there’s also an ‘early bird’ discount available until
30th October.
